Heat Strengthened Glass has a similar production process to that of tempered glass, except for a longer chilling duration. It is produced by evenly heating flat glass to approximately 620°C. The ceramic roller transmits glass at a stable speed to ensure an even temperature and optical performance.
Combined with advantages of tempered glass, HSG is twice as solid than ordinary float glass. It also avoids the disadvantages of tempered glass such as poor flatness, easy spontaneous breakage and overall crushing once damaged. Once damaged, it will crack radially along the crack centre, without tangential crack propagation in general, which keeps the whole glass from collapsing.

For heat-treated enhanced glass of the same thickness, its strength and temperature change resistance is approximately twice that of ordinary glass.
